Puerto Rico women’s basketball team still without an Olympic victory

The Puerto Rican women's basketball team continued today without tasting a victory at the Olympic Games, losing 55-58 to Serbia in Group A of the Paris 2024 Games.
 
The Puerto Ricans gave everything to reduce a lead of up to 17 points, but they could not score the necessary points in the last quarter to get at least the tie and take the game to overtime.

The European team won the first three quarters by 23-15, 20-11 and 12-10 and lost in the fourth with a score of 3-19.

Trinity San Antonio led the Caribbean attack with 11 points and four rebounds, and received support from Mya Hollingshed, who scored eight points and six rebounds under the hoops, and Pamela Rosado, who scored eight points and made five shots near the backboards.

For the Balkans, Dragana Stankovic scored 15 points and made 10 shots in the basket, seconded by Jovana Nogic (14-4) and Sasa Cadjo (10-4).
