The growing challenges posed by technological development, the banking system, and the digital transformation of Cuban society increasingly require the development of computer and financial literacy in children, youth, and the general public. We have well-trained human resources, an organized national education system, and projects that respond to this goal to attain this goal.

The universities, particularly the University of Computer Sciences, research centers, computer science and economics polytechnics, specialized companies, the Cuban Computer Scientists Union, and the Young Club of Computing and Electronics Program, created by Fidel Castro on September 8, 1987, with the clear aim of introducing new concepts and a different model of computer science teaching; making computer science accessible to everyone by promoting more social and intelligent access to these technologies; to create a perspective of inclusion and access to knowledge and culture for everyone, ensuring that we do not fall behind the world's scientific and technical frontline.

After 37 years of operation, the Young Clubs have provided free training to more than 5.5 million Cubans in face-to-face, mixed, and distance learning courses, and have provided important services to the community, health centers, schools, and other institutions in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs), which has created a privileged situation for the computerization of production and service processes, scientific creation, and cultural, and educational development, the assimilation of technologies, and the hostility of subversive campaigns against our country.

For over a year, they have supported the country's ongoing digital transformation process and the banking sector, contributing to the development of digital skills and the training of a million Cubans, including seniors and people with disabilities.

In 1989, the first Mobile Youth Computer Club was built in Villa Clara to bring these technologies to the mountainous areas of Cuba. This experience later spread to several provinces across the country.

The ground-breaking capacity and motivation of the members of this Program have allowed, in my opinion, the development of a new concept of the Mobile Youth Club: young instructors, backpack in hand, go to mountainous communities and rural areas to teach and train on new technologies, digital communication, and content creation. It's a true information literacy campaign.

A report on the Young Club Santiago de Cuba Facebook page, referring to the work carried out in the mountainous community of El Escandel, which has more than 800 residents, schools, family doctor's offices, a TV room, a museum, and mixed warehouses, attests to this:

… In El Escandel town, the JovenClubXCuba campaign continued its mission to promote digital transformation and banking in Cuba. The campaign has been crucial in training the population in the use of platforms such as Transfermóvil and EnZona, as well as in e-commerce, bringing citizens closer to a more digitalized and connected future.

… Our team visited warehouses, medical offices, cooperatives, and the Mario Iglesias Vega rural school. There, we exchanged experiences with the children about technology and shared experiences with the residents.

… At the farms, we talked about how e-commerce can expand their markets. At school, the children were excited to interact with phones and games, learning a little more about information and communication technologies.

… The JovenClubXCuba campaign has been a bridge between the community and Cuba's digitalized future…

This approach fully demonstrates the Cuban Revolution's policy of social inclusion and Fidel's vision of the future, which he expressed in his reflection "The Empire and the Lie":
