Cubans beat Canada in Norca handball tournament
especiales

The Cuban team comfortably defeated Canada in its second match of the Norca de Mexico 2025 Women's Handball Tournament, a qualifier for the World Championship of the discipline.
With a score of 29-19, they achieved their second victory of the tournament, a very important one considering that the Canadians were undefeated in first place in the group.
That place now belongs to Cuba, with four points and a positive goal difference of 22, better than the +10 of the Canadians themselves and the +7 of Mexico.
The Aztecs will be the next opponents of the Caribbeans, and that match could seal their qualification to the event's final.
The United States and Puerto Rico have two defeats to their name, which means they have lost any chance of catching up with anyone who manages to win three games.
On the other hand, Mexico and Canada have yet to play each other, so a loss by the Cubans against the locals does not eliminate them, as there could be a three-way tie at the top with six points, which would be defined by goal differential.
For this reason, the Cubans are comfortable at the end of the group stage, with several options to reach the final and seek there the ticket to the Women's Handball World Championship in Germany and the Netherlands 2025.
