Cuba congratulates Iran on the occasion of the Persian New Year

Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla congratulated today the people and government of Iran on the occasion of the celebrations of Nouruz and the Persian New Year.

On X, the head of Cuban diplomacy expressed his best wishes for success, health and prosperity.

Cuba and Iran have maintained uninterrupted diplomatic relations since August 1979 based on friendship and cooperation for the benefit of both nations.

Nouruz, meaning new day, is a holiday marking the arrival of spring and the first day of the year in Iran, whose solar calendar begins with the vernal equinox, and this 2024 will be the year 1403 according to Persian dating.
