An exhibition currently taking place in Bologna, Italy, until June 30, explores the life and ideals of the Argentine-Cuban revolutionary commander Ernesto Che Guevara.

The exhibition, which opened in late March at the Civic Archaeological Museum in the Emilia-Romagna region, features a substantial selection from the extensive photographic and documentary collection of the Che Guevara Study Center in Havana, as reported by the specialized publication Espo Arte.

Titled “Che Guevara: You and Everyone,” this project marks its second presentation in Italy, following a successful run in December 2017 at La Fabbrica del Vapore, a prominent multifunctional space in Milan. The exhibition was developed in close collaboration with Che Guevara’s wife, Aleida March, and his son, Camilo Guevara, who passed away in 2022. The project is dedicated to Camilo, who devoted his efforts to preserving his father’s legacy through the Che Guevara Study Center.

The Italian network Simmetrico Cultura significantly contributed to the exhibition’s development, with key participation from its president, Daniele Zambelli, Flavio Andreini, and Cuban researcher Maria del Carmen Ariet. The exhibition is organized into three sections—narrative, biographical, and intimate—each utilizing targeted multimedia solutions for effective communication. An original soundtrack composed by Italian musician Andrea Guerra enhances the overall experience.

In addition to the Che Guevara Study Center, various organizations contributed to the exhibition’s production, including the Italian cultural association ALMA, the University of Milan, the University Institute of Modern Languages (IULM), and the Civic Museums Sector of Bologna. The event is sponsored by the Italian National Commission for UNESCO, the Cuban Embassy in Italy, the Emilia-Romagna Region, and Bologna City Hall.
