Cuba remembers outstanding heroine Vilma Espin

The Cuban people honored today the heroine Vilma Espin Guillois on the 95th anniversary of her birth with the memory of the revolutionary work and the work she did for women in the country.
Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, paid tribute to the eternal secretary of the Cuban Women's Federation (FMC by its Spanish acronym) on X.
The president noted in his message, "Today we dawn in the II Eastern Front "Frank Pais" to pay tribute to the heroine of the underground and the Rebel Army, to the leader of the Revolution in the Revolution that Cuban women have been leading since 1959."
"To Vilma Espin and her extraordinary legacy, in her 95th year," Diaz-Canel concluded.
Meanwhile, Teresa Amarelle Boue, member of the Political Bureau and secretary general of the FMC, on the same social network described Vilma as the most genuine smile of the Revolution and said that her legacy is an exemplary demonstration of thought and conduct.
Representatives of the Party and other organizations praised Vilma on another anniversary of her birth, for being one of the most important figures of the revolutionary process in the nation.
Every April 7th Cuba remembers one of the most outstanding women in the people's struggle, who played an important role not only in the revolutionary actions, but also in promoting the place that women should occupy in the revolutionary project.
