Cuba confirms 131 new Covid-19 cases

Havana, Dec 19 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 131 new Covid-19 cases over the last 24 hours, so the total number of patients rose to 10,024 since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
 
According to the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP), 33 of all cases were contacts of other patients, 61 were infected overseas, and in three cases the source of contagion could not be determined.

Currently, there are 909 active patients, 898 of whom evolve well, while three are in critical health and eight at seriously ill.

Over the last few hours, 64 patients were discharged from hospitals, so 8,976 people have recovered from the disease since March.

The MINSAP added that 3,723 patients are in hospital for clinical-epidemiological surveillance, 353 are suspected to have the disease and 1,889 are under surveillance.

On Friday, 12,052 PCR test in real time were made, totaling 1.316 million tests in more than nine months since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in Cuba.
