The representation of literature produced in Spain opens a new section in this capital today at the Cuba's Pavilion, with the presentation of the volumes "En cualquier otra parte" and "Ocho ciudades", by Spanish writer Rosa Cuadrado.
This literary exhibition in the context of the 33rd Havana International Book Fair will be in charge of Spanish publishers Jose Luis Gonzalez Macias and Rosalia Peinador, from Ediciones Menguantes. The books written by Cuadrado describe a journey through cities from Italy to the United States. The second book is like a continuation of the previous one, with which its author culminates the cycle of travels that began with “En cualquier otra parte”.
Once again she invites us to be accomplices and observers of these eight unique routes from Europe to cross the Atlantic Ocean ending in the North American country.
From Rome to California, Cuadrado takes us through a poetic journey in which places and characters from both sides of the ocean are intertwined. On this journey we discover bookstores that have survived the passage of time and others that no longer exist, imaginary gardens, unlikely places, and unforgettable figures of art and literature.
The particular way of writing of this Spanish author is used with a style that mixes the charm of travel narrative and intimate observation, according to the Librería Desnivel website.
