Vietnam and Cuba Exchange Experiences in Cancer Treatment

Vietnam and Cuba are exchanging experiences in the treatment of cancer as part of the program that meets in Ho Chi Minh City a delegation of specialists from the Caribbean country until Friday.

Led by the deputy director of the Military Hospital Dr. Carlos J. Finlay, Eraida Hernandez, the visiting group organizes meetings with colleagues in a similar institution.

Cuban experts will participate in research activities to know on the service examination and therapy for the disease, besides nuclear medicine.

They will attend also to sessions of knowledge exchange and diagnostics.

According to the sources, it is expected that with the support of the Cuban cooperation, the Center of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine of the Military Hospital 175 will become one of the most advanced in the mentioned specialty in the south of the country.
