Cuban Young People to Celebrate Fidel Castro Birthday

A photo exhibit, a camping day and a concert are included in the number of activities of the Cuban young people who will celebrate the 89th birthday of the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz.
The information was let known by the secretary general of the Cuban Young Communist Union (UJC), Roberto Conde, a member of its National Bureau, in a press conference Wednesday.
The activities will start on August 10, with the opening of a photo exhibit with 50 pictures of Fidel Castro in the Cuabn newspaper Juventud Rebelde, which will be useful to start the activities for the 50th anniversary of the newspaper on October 21 and celebrate the International Day of Youth on August 12.
Conde said there will be people climbing important mountains of Cuba such as Pico Turquino, the place where Fidel Castro's commanding office was during the struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista in the 50's.
An activity at the Anti-Imperialist Tribune, a photo contest, presentation of books and other things are included in the agenda.
