The president of the National People's Power Assembly (Parliament), Esteban Lazo, visited sites of social and economic interest in this central province on Friday.
The tour encouraged dialogue with the population and parliament delegates, and confirmed compliance with the Government Program to correct distortions and boost the economy, among other actions, the Legislature reported.
In Aguada de Pasajeros municipality, Lazo, who was accompanied by Marta Hernández, coordinator of the Permanent Work Commissions of Parliament, met with representatives of the Managuaco People’s Council.
The president of the Council of State also visited areas of the Antonio Sánchez sugar mill, where he insisted on the strategic nature of increasing sugar production, and shared opinions with its workers.
