Cuba condemns Israel's insistence on exterminating the Palestinian people

Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez has strongly condemned Israel's persistent policy of "extermination" against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Through his account on the social media platform X, the Cuban Foreign Minister warned about the continued destruction of basic civilian infrastructure and Israeli plans to "usurp" more Palestinian territory, specifically in the city of Rafah.
"Israel insists on its extermination of the Palestinian people in Gaza, where it has murdered nearly 50,810 people. "While bombing and destroying basic civilian infrastructure daily, it plans to seize territory in the city of Rafah, which would further exacerbate the influx of humanitarian aid," Bruno Rodríguez wrote.
Israel persists in its extermination of the Palestinian people in #Gaza, where it has murdered 50,810 people.
For his part, the president of the Palestinian National Council, Rawhi Fattouh, urged the international community to increase pressure on the Tel Aviv government to cease its aggression against Gaza, where the death toll has exceeded 50,000 since October 2023. The Palestinian leader, in a statement, emphasized the need for firm international stances against Israel's actions.
At the same time, the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates announced the convening of an international conference for next June, under the joint presidency of France and Saudi Arabia, with the aim of promoting the implementation of the two-state solution.
Alarms are ringing over Israeli media reports revealing Tel Aviv's plans to incorporate Rafah, the southernmost city in the Gaza Strip, and its surrounding areas into the "buffer zone" that Israel has established along the enclave's border.
Analysts also warn that this measure would prohibit the return of displaced Palestinians and the possible demolition of remaining infrastructure in that town.
Cuba's strong denunciation adds to the growing international concern over the escalating violence and Israel's expansionist policies in the occupied Palestinian territories.
