Venezuelan vice president Delcy Rodriguez denounced a “false flag” plan orchestrated by the president of Guyana, Irfaan Ali, along with figures such as María Corina Machado, Marco Rubio and Erik Prince, against an Exxon Mobil platform in Guayana Esequiba.

The purpose of this operation would be to justify hostile actions against Venezuela, according to Rodriguez.

“They are planning to attack an Exxon Mobil platform in a sea in the Essequibo, which is pending delimitation and which Guyana vulgarly violates every day. By attacking this platform, they will have a justification to attack Venezuela,” the vice president said from Bolívar state.

According to Rodríguez’s statements, the American mercenary Erik Prince would be in charge of executing this action. “You already know Erik Prince’s criminal record, he is known for being a hired assassin who was used in countries in the Middle East,” said the high-ranking Venezuelan official, who recalled that Prince had launched a fundraising campaign to attack President Nicolás Maduro after the July 28 elections.

The Venezuelan Vice President alleged that the government presented evidence linking Exxon Mobil to the extremist opposition, calling on the US. revoke the license of Chevron and affect oil exploitation in Venezuela.

Previously, it had been claimed that the opposition, led by figures like Maria Corina Machado, receives funding from ExxonMobil.

In parallel, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela and the Great Patriotic Pole Simon Bolivar announced a candidate for the governorship of Guayana Esequiba to Neil Villamizar in the upcoming regional elections.

Mervin Maldonado, a member of the PSUV’s National Leadership, praised Villamizar as a “patriotic soldier” charged with defending the sovereignty of Guayana Esequiba with popular support, a task mandated by President Maduro.

Villamizar, in turn, pledged to protect the rights of the inhabitants of the region under the Constitution, stressing the importance of maintaining the stability of Esequibo through this candidacy.
