Diaz Canel appreciated positive experiences in Cuban province

Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and president of the country, appreciated interesting experiences that deserve to be generalized in the central-eastern province of Camagüey, and in the country, during his tour of the municipalities of Sibanicu, Najasa and Vertientes.

In the first of these territories, specifically in the Basic Business Unit Acuinicu, he highlighted the capabilities of this collective to increase fishing levels, although to achieve better results it is necessary to solve the problems with the refrigeration of products, high demand for social consumption, population and export.

Accompanied by Roberto Morales Ojeda, member of the Political Bureau and Secretary of Organization of the Central Committee of the PCC, the Cuban head of state, during his visit to that locality, recognized the efficiency with which the medical staff of the Manuel Antonio de Varona Miranda polyclinic works and when talking with the inhabitants of the 45th district, he noted the popular participation in social care work, especially for vulnerable families.

Cuban president also went to Najasa, where he visited the El Porvenir farm, which belongs to the Anibal Puga Gonzalez Credit and Service Cooperative (CCS).

There, he highlighted the willingness of producer Gustavo Ocaña Brizuela and his family to take care of nine hectares for the cultivation of plantain, cassava and sweet potato, among other crops.

Also in Vertientes, we find the twins Jesus and Leonardo Lezcano Capote, he said, who are distinguished by their enthusiasm and confidence in the application of science and innovation to promote the development of the five caballerias of land they own in the El Algarrobo farm, located in the Santa Rosa development area, belonging to the Juan Manuel Marquez CCS.

Similarly, in the charcoal processing plant, he praised the high competitiveness of this exportable item, which, he said, can contribute to the purchase of inputs to produce more rice for the people.

Regarding this, he valued that the Grain Agroindustrial Company Ruta Invasora strengthens its productions, based on the popular rice movement, the sowing of several crops, the elaboration of food and the linkage with different forms of non-State management, among other alternatives.

During the summary meeting, with authorities and directors of the province, he mentioned the four work priorities defined by the country and which require a greater preparation of the people for the defense of the Homeland, popular participation in all tasks, the exemplarity of the cadres and the link with the base, as well as the confrontation of distortions and the revitalization of national production, among other strategic objectives.
