Cuba mourns death of Chilean Communist Party leader

The Secretary of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC) Organization, Roberto Morales, lamented today the death of the president of the Communist Party of Chile (PC of Chile), Guillermo Teillier.

In the social network X, (formerly Twitter) Morales expressed his condolences to the family and friends of the ‘dear comrade’ of whom -he said- ‘we will never forget his permanent commitment with the Chilean people and solidarity with Cuba’.

The leader of the ruling CP of Chile died early Tuesday morning, at the age of 79, due to a complex health condition he had been suffering for years, according to Chilean media.

The government of the Chilean president, Gabriel Boric, decreed two days of national mourning.
