The Argentine State Workers' Association (ATE) is holding a meeting of its executive board on Tuesday to define concrete actions against the Government's measures. The ATE stated in a press release that the meeting is taking place in this capital with the participation of representatives from all provinces.
The trade union association announced that its members will oppose the decision of the Executive of President Javier Milei not to allow wage hikes or set them at minimum values.
“We will not accept imposition or a limit in the state negotiations. The proposal to be made must be retroactive and allow the opening of a wage recovery process in the public sector”, ATE General Secretary Rodolfo Aguiar stated.
Aguiar also indicated that the Government’s policy has been, so far, to destroy workers’ incomes and the damage must be repaired.
