especiales
Prestigious international musicians will be on hand at the cultural gathering, including Renaud Capuçon, Florent Heau, Gerard Caussé, Clemens Hagen, Siegfried Mauser, Ronald Zollman and Claire Elizabeth Craig. On the music festival's agenda: audiovisual exhibitions, film screenings, theater and dance performances, recitals, and chamber and symphony music concerts.
The event closes three years of the cultural project Classical European Music in Old Havana, financed by the European Union and the Mozarteum Foundation, and sponsored by the Havana Historian Office, Cuba's Higher Institute for the Arts, Salzburg's Mozarteum University and the Civil Society for Heritage, Community and the Environment. The institutions supported the project aimed at spreading Mozart’s work, the world’s classical composers and Cuban concert music.
The project facilitated the arrival in Cuba of important European maestros who gave master classes, held concerts and worked along with the Higher Institute for the Arts Symphony, attached to Havana’s Mozarteum Lyceum, including the Young Orchestra of the Americas –YOA-, Cologne's Philharmonic Orchestra of Germany and the Mozarteum Foundation of Salzburg, Austria.
