Paraguay praises sports cooperation agreements with Cuba

Paraguayan Sports Minister Cesar Ramirez expressed satisfaction on Thursday during the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the National Secretariat of Sports and Cuba's National Institute of Sports, Physical Education and Recreation (INDER).
After inking the document, Ramirez commented on the certainty that Cuba’s experience in the field can contribute a lot to the growth of sports in his country in the search for new achievements in international events.
During the ceremony, another memorandum of cooperation between the Olympic Committee of Paraguay (COP) and its Cuban counterpart was penned to lay the foundations to facilitate training programs in both countries and advice.
COP President Camilo Pérez López highlighted the benefits of signing the common commitment and agreed with his Cuban counterpart, Roberto León Richard, that both parties will benefit in areas such as the training and preparation of athletes and coaches, and improvements in sports facilities, among others.
Cuban Ambassador to Paraguay Francisco Fernández Peña noted that the signing of these two documents represents a milestone in the ties between both nations in the field of sports, physical education and recreation, and encourages the exploration of other areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
