Havana, Jun 22 (Prensa Latina) Delegations from both the Colombian Government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - People's Army (FARC-EP), announced today that they have reached an agreement on a bilateral and definitive ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.

In a joint statement, both sides stated that the details would be announced tomorrow in Havana. Colombian President, Juan Manuel Santos, the top commander of the FARC-EP, Timoleon Jimenez, and other international authorities will be present for the announcement.

According to the statement, the Government and the FARC-EP have successfully reached an agreement on a bilateral ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities.

President Raul Castro (Cuba), and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Borge Brende (Norway), as representative of the guarantor countries, will be present at the historical meeting.

The President of Chile, Michelle Bachelet and the President of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro, will also participate.

The ceremony will be attended by the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-Moon, who will be accompanied by the President of the UN Security Council and the President of the UN General Assembly.
