The Salvadoran competition, scheduled from today through 28, will be very helpful for the qualifying event to the 23rd Central American and Caribbean Games which will be held in 2018, Barranquilla, Colombia, the national commissioner Julio Fidel Hernandez said.

Eglys Cruz, the most successful athlete in Cuba with seven titles, will be participating for the third time as part of the Cuban shooting team alongside Lisbet Hernandez and Ainerik Cabrera.

Leuris Pupo is going for his fourth match of this type, in a 25-meter rapid fire pistol, alongside the also well-experienced Jorge Felix Alvarez and Juan Francisco Perez.

As Cuban women´s team, Laina Perez, Sheila Gonzalez and Mauren Roque were the ones selected for pistol modality.

The Cuban delegation is also made up of rifle shooters Reinier Estopinan, Alejandro Betancourt and Alexander Molerio.

For Cuban shooters this competition will be an excellent opportunity to be acquainted with the firing range that will also host the qualifying contest on October.

Guillermo Alfredo Torres, Juan Miguel Rodriguez and Jose Gonzalez were selected to compete in skeet shooting event which will be held from July 1 through 8 in Dominican Republic.
