Venezuelan youth celebrates founding of political organization

Caracas, Sep 12 (Prensa Latina) The Youth section of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV) on Monday celebrates the 14th anniversary of its foundation, imbued in the preparations for its 4th Congress, whose date will be announced in the coming days.

A total of 900 delegates of the JPSUV, the Simon Bolivar Great Patriotic Pole, and young people from all movements and organizations will participate in the so-called Congress of the New Epoch Youth, Grecia Colmenares, general secretary of this organization, announced.

“We are going to convene a national plenary session, the 4th Congress, in the next few days, where all our territorial delegates will come, and also our sectorial delegates,” she stated.

Colmenares, who is also a legislator to the National Assembly (Parliament), said this weekend that the meeting intends to involve everyone constructing a plan “in general as Venezuelan youth.”

Regarding this Monday’s commemoration, the youth leader stated that it is adjusted to the new times of transition to socialism, to which President Nicolás Maduro called for.

Colmenares urged the debate on the leading role of the new generations and highlighted that in these 14 years of struggles, loyalty, and dreams, they grew up in the ideas of the Bolivarian Revolution, inspired by the legacy left by Commander Hugo Chávez.
