Venezuela reports 20 new Covid-19 infections, no deaths

Caracas, Mar 4 (Prensa Latina) A total of 20 new infections of Covid-19 by community transmission in seven states and no deaths were registered in the last few hours, the Venezuelan Minister of Communication and Information, Freddy Ñañez, reported today.

Of the identified cases, Miranda has five, followed by Carabobo, with four, Cojedes, with three, Lara, with two, and Yaracuy and Tachira, with one respectively, of which 11 are women and nine are men, including four minors.

Ñañez pointed out that, out of the 285 active patients, 28 are hospitalized, 38 in Comprehensive Diagnostic Centers, 17 in private clinics and 202 receive supervised community care.

With these data, to date the country has 111 asymptomatic patients, 83 with mild acute respiratory failure, 60 with moderate acute respiratory failure and 31 in intensive care units.

In the 155th week of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, Venezuela accumulated 552,34 confirmed cases and 545,895 people recovered, which represents 99 percent of the infections.

The Minister of Communication and Information indicated that there were no deaths during the day, so the total number of deaths remains at 5,854.
