Review of important tourism event between Cuba and Canada

One of the most significant events of the week that is ending is aimed at relations between Cuba and Canada, according to a review released today by local analyst José Luís Perelló. 
 
On his Facebook account, the expert points out that this week 200 travel advisors and industry partners in Canada went to The Arlington Estate in Vaughan, Ontario, to learn about all the updates from the Gaviota Tourism Group, courtesy of Sunwing Vacations.

He adds that the Director of Sales for Sunwing Vacations for Ontario and the Atlantic, Dave Wright, explained that Gaviota is truly the country’s leader in terms of tourism, when its numbers are astonishing.

As the largest hotel group in Cuba, Gaviota has 144 hotels and villas, for a total of 42,071 rooms, in 12 key destinations on the island, said the Canadian executive.

In addition to its six brands and properties, Gaviota’s international partners include Blue Diamond Hotels, MGM Muthu Hotels, Iberostar Cuba, Melia Cuba, Sirenis, Valentin and more.

At the end of last November, 780,120 Canadian tourists vacationed in Cuba, with Varadero and Cayo Santa María remaining the main destinations.
