Mexico City, Jul 14 (Prensa Latina) The Mexican Solidarity with Cuba Movement on Thursday convened a rally to celebrate the 69th anniversary of the assault on the Moncada and Carlos Manuel de Cespedes barracks led by Fidel Castro.

This year’s rally to celebrate the July 26 events will be staged on Saturday 23 at 11:00, local time, from the Juarez Hemicycle to the US embassy and will join the National Day against the blockade in different cities of the world.

It also notes that 69 years ago, on July 26, 1953, the history of Our America changed forever. By storming those barracks, Cuba started the fight for its final indendence, materialized on Jan.1, 1959.

Since then, despite all hardships, Cuba has conceived an advanced social justice project.

Cuba and its Revolution have proven the achievements of their social project, shown in times of a health emergency: hundreds of doctors that make up the Henry Reeve Brigade have assisted several nations to overcome the scourge of the Covid-19 pandemic.
