Former President Mujica to be honored by Argentine University

Buenos Aires, Oct 23 (Prensa Latina) Former Uruguayan President José Mujica, who surprised this week by announcing his farewell to politics, will deliver an online master lecture on Friday for the Argentine Villa María University, to be honored as extraordinary professor.

Considered one of the most prominent progressive thinkers in the region, Pepe - as his relatives affectionately call him - will join in the celebrations for the 25th anniversary of the University, located in the province of Cordoba.

According to organizers, the ceremony can be followed live from the University official channels, which will begin with Mujica's lecture: Program Essential Agenda for development: essential-urgent talks with references from domestic and regional politics.
