Demonstrations in the Swedish capital demand an end to the Israeli genocide in Gaza

The Swedish capital, Stockholm, hosted a mass demonstration in Odenplan Square to denounce the Israeli genocide against the Palestinian population in the Gaza Strip.  The protest was organized by Swedish civil society groups and brought together hundreds of attendees demanding an immediate cessation of war crimes in the besieged Palestinian territory.

Participants displayed Palestinian flags and images of child martyrs during the attack, as well as signs reading "Stop Israel's genocide in Palestine."

This is not the first protest in the Swedish capital in support of the Palestinian population, specifically in the Gaza Strip.

In recent months, several public demonstrations have taken place, demonstrating the growing rejection of the situation in the region by segments of Swedish society.

Last June, Swedish Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard stated that resistance to allowing humanitarian aid into Gaza and attacks on distribution centers were causing starvation among the civilian population, which constitutes a war crime.
