Science, art, and the environment will serve as bridges for collaboration between the United Kingdom and Cuba during the 13th British Culture Week, to be held in Havana from November 28 to December 6.

The diplomatic mission announced that this year's event will focus on the effective protection of nature, ways to mitigate the effects of climate change, and the promotion of sustainable practices in Cuba.

The program of activities will include talks, a children's workshop on marine conservation, the re-staging of the play "Fable of a Wax Country," a camping event inspired by British fantasy tales, a guided bicycle tour, among other offerings.

This edition will feature exceptional guests, such as the prestigious Cuban botanist Luis Roberto Torres; the scientist from the Royal Botanic Gardens, Alex Monro; the sustainable design architect, John Osmond; and the senior professor from the Faculty of Biology at the University of Havana, Lourdes Mújica.

Furthermore, participants will include the Cuban children's theater company La Colmenita, the projects El Parqueo, La Manigua, and Nómada, alongside the venues Quinta de los Molinos, the Chullima Workshop, the National Museum of Fine Arts, the Finca Vista Hermosa, and the Church of Our Lady of Regla.

After nine days, the 13th British Culture Week will conclude with an Earth Market in the Havana municipality of Guanabacoa. All details of the schedule will be available on the diplomatic mission's social media channels.
