The Provincial Traffic Safety Commission of Havana has announced significant traffic measures for Thursday, November 27, due to a march commemorating the 154th anniversary of the execution of eight medical students. The procession will travel from the University of Havana to the monument at Prado and Malecón.

The entity specified via the National Revolutionary Police (PNR) Facebook page that several roads in the capital will be fully or partially closed starting at seven in the morning. These include Ronda, Mason, Basarrate, streets N and M, San Francisco, Espada, Hospital, Aramburu, and Soledad.

Traffic will also be interrupted on Soledad, Oquendo, Márquez González, Lucena, Gervasio, Escobar, Lealtad, Perseverancia, Campanario, Manrique, and San Nicolás, in sections between Concordia, Virtudes, Ánimas, and Malecón.

Additionally, closures will affect Blanco, Águila, Amistad, Crespo, Genio, and Cárcel streets, as well as L Street, Neptuno, San Lázaro, Prado, Avenida de los Estudiantes, Cárcel, Avenida de las Misiones, and the Malecón, in various segments.

The Commission indicated that full closures will increase from one in the afternoon and that the Bay Tunnel will be shut down at the moment the march arrives at the La Punta area.

Alternative routes for drivers have been established along Línea, Zanja, Reina, Belascoaín, Monte, and Salvador Allende.

For public transportation, detours are in effect for routes P6, 20, 27, A58, 67, A95, 222, P5, and the Ciclo-bús. Routes P11 and P15 (outbound) are being diverted from Carlos III and Espada.

The P16 route (outbound) is being diverted from Boyeros and 19 de Mayo, and the P6 route's starting point has been moved to San Lázaro, between Oquendo and Márquez González.

The Commission apologizes for any inconvenience caused and urges the public to comply with the measures and follow the instructions of traffic officers.
