Havana, Dec 15 (Prensa Latina) Cuba´s Prime Minister Manuel Marrero on Tuesday affirmed that no delegate of the People's Power can remain alone in his management, because it is a Government responsibility at all levels.

By speaking in the debates of the Commission for Attention to the Organs of the People´s Power, prior to the 6th session of the parliament in its 9th legislature, Manuel Marrero said the delegate is the legitimate expression of socialist democracy.

Delegate is the person chosen by the people to represent them, Marrero added and insisted it is one of the most complicated and hard tasks, because delegate is the one who faces the citizens and their most immediate needs.

Therefore, there cannot be an unanswered public approach, he stated, regardless of the scenario where it was made, both in the assemblies of accountability of the delegate to his voters, now suspended by the Covid-19 pandemic, and in systematic reports.

Manuel Marrero stressed that every citizen´s concern is sacred and must be answered, although this is not the solution the person is expecting.

There is no justification for the administrative structures to leave the delegate alone and absent themselves from meetings in which they have to respond to the people, because they are due to them, he said.

The President of the National Assembly of People's Power Esteban Lazo argued that it should not happen that some matters have a solution and remain unsolved, or even the citizens stop receiving a convincing explanation about the issues they really concern.
