In a post on X, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel ratified his support and solidarity to Xiomara Castro, president of Honduras, her government and the people of that country, and demanded the end of the attacks against Honduran sovereignty.

On his end, Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz also condemned U.S. attempts at meddling with the internal affairs of the Central American nation.

President Xiomara Castro posted messages on the same social network decrying the intentions of the U.S. Embassy in her country and other officials to control national politics, describing such actions as intolerable.

“They attack, disregard and violate with impunity the principles and practices of international law, which promote respect for the sovereignty and self-determination of peoples, non-intervention, and universal peace,” the Honduran leader wrote.
