Cuban women's basketball team to debut tomorrow in Centrobasket

HAVANA, Cuba, Nov 23 (ACN) The Cuban women's basketball players will debut tomorrow in the Centrobasket tournament in Chihuahua, Mexico, opposite the local team.
 
 Cuba is in Pool B along with the Mexicans and El Salvador, whereas Pool B is made up of Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
 
Cuban head coach Margaro Pedroso pointed out that his team’s most important goal is to qualify for the Central American and Caribbean Games of San Salvador 2023, which Cuba did just by participating in this tournament that grants seven places for that competition.
 
He also referred to the main international commitments for the coming year, including the ALBA Games in April and the Central Caribbean Games, an event in which the top four teams will qualify for the Pan American Games in Santiago de Chile 2023.
