Cuban president congratulates writer Abel Prieto on his birthday

Havana, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Friday congratulated intellectual, writer, and politician Abel Prieto on his 72nd birthday, and sent a hug to the top leader of Casa de las Americas.

From his official Twitter account, the head of State quoted the message of that Havana-based institution, which acknowledges Prieto’s leadership and the affection expressed by him to the Cuban people and, in turn, alludes to his authentic Cuban identity and his revolutionary coherence.

Prieto was born on November 11, 1950, in the western Pinar del Rio province.

He studied Hispanic Letters at the University of Havana and later served as director of Letras Cubanas Publishing House and Advisor to the President of the Councils of State and Ministers.
