Cuban personalities bid farewell to actress Aurora Basnuevo

Havana, Oct 11 (Prensa Latina) Cultural personalities, authorities and family members bid farewell to actress Aurora Basnuevo during the funeral honors that took place in the lobby of the National Theater of Cuba.

Several generations of admirers placed roses next to the ashes accompanied by floral offerings on behalf of Army General Raúl Castro and President Miguel Díaz-Canel.

The tribute was attended by her life partner, fellow actor Mario Limonta, who accompanied her in numerous characterizations that are part of the collective imagination for their wit, authenticity and talent.

All Cuba will be eternally grateful for her artistic excellence and her deep love for the roots and culture of the nation, honor and glory to Aurora Basnuevo, the PCC official signed.

The ceremony was accompanied by the audiovisual exhibition of her successful performances in television and cinema such as the films El encuentro, Vals de la Habana Vieja, Cuarteto de La Habana, Salsa y Havana Blues and Adela, a short film she made under the direction of director Humberto Solás.
