Cuban music label participates in music fair in Portugal

Lisbon, Oct 20 (Prensa Latina) The Abdala record company is exhibiting its catalog of products and services at the International World Music Fair (Womex 2022), taking place in Lisboa, Portugal, until November 22nd.
According to a statement from the label, the event serves as a showcase to show the lines of work developed by them, with the recording studios, considered the largest in Cuba, at the forefront.
Abdala also works in sound restoration and on a wide range of literary materials, of which the Atril publishing house is in charge, while record production is covered by the Presto and Unicorn record labels.
Abdala’s representation at Womex 2022 is part of the Cuban delegation participating in the event, with the president of the Cuban Institute of Music, Indira Fajardo, participating in it. It also includes the Recording and Musical Editions Company (EGREM), the Artex Bismusic Record Label, the Cubadisco Fair, the Jazz Plaza Festival.
This seeks to insert the Cuban music industry in international circuits with the aim of promoting the commercialization of one of the most widespread Cuban cultural expressions worldwide, according to the press release.
Considered the largest event of its kind in the region, Womex will enable interaction between musicians, filmmakers and professionals from the sector, who will attend numerous talks, concerts, film screenings, an opening show and an award ceremony.
The fair brings together more than 2,500 professionals from 90 countries each year with the aim of fostering alliances and developing festivals of all genres.
