Cuban and Sri Lankan representatives discuss trade exchange

Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Andres Gonzalez and Sampath Anuruddha, managing director of Jaindi Exports (Pvt) Ltd, met here on Sunday to review trade opportunities with the Caribbean nation.
Before executive of the renowned Sri Lankan company, known for the Econutrena brand, which manufactures and exports large-scale coconut-based food and beverages, the diplomat referred to the portfolio of business opportunities in Cuba.
Gonzalez provided information on coconut production, which is mainly developed in eastern Cuba, especially in Baracoa, Guantanamo province.
During his visit, the ambassador toured the company’s production areas and learned about the its mission and vision.
Also present during the visit were Tushira Radella, president of the Chamber of Young Entrepreneurs (COYLE) in Sri Lanka, and Maribel Duarte Gonzalez, first secretary of the Cuban Embassy.
Jaindi Exports (Pvt) Ltd offers an expanding and diversified product portfolio ranging from coconut-based products to organic spices, fruits, Ayurvedic products, and beverages to the global market.
