Cuba expresses solidarity with Japan disaster victims

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Tuesday expressed his deep solidarity with Japanese authorities and people ahead of disasters occurred at the beginning of 2024.
On X, the Cuban leader mourned the consequences of the deadly earthquake affecting Japan´s coastal city of Ishikawa on the first day of this year, and also the tragic plane crash on Tuesday at the Tokyo-Haneda airport.
The 7.6 magnitude earthquake has so far caused over 50 deaths, while rescue teams continue searching for survivors at collapsed homes and buildings, destroyed roads.
Meanwhile, a Japan Airlines plane with 379 people on board, including passengers and crew, collided with a Coast Guard aircraft.
