Havana, April 25 (RHC)-- The leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) elected on Tuesday new members of its Central Committee (CC) and analyzed the behavior of the internal life during the report of the Political Bureau to the 4th Plenary Session.

Headed by the First Secretary of the PCC, Miguel Díaz-Canel, the meeting approved  Army Corps General Ramón Espinosa as a member of the Political Bureau and the Central Committee of the PCC, and  Yudi Mercedes, head of the Department of Services, as a member of the Secretariat.

The  Plenum also elected as members of the Central Committee Miguel Colina, first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Party in Villa Clara; Major General Ricardo Rigel, Chief of the Eastern Army; as well as the heads of the Departments of Organization and Cadre Policy, Roberto Pérez and Camilo Hernández respectively.

During the presentation of the report, the top communist leadership focused its attention on the implementation of the ideas, concepts, and guidelines of the Eighth Congress of the organization.

The Party's Twitter account said that the internal life, its influence on society, the political-ideological transformation program, and the country's Economic-Social Strategy are on the plenary session's agenda.
