Colombia's Sonora International Festival to be held online

Bogota, Dec 2 (Prensa Latina) Singer-songwriters from Ecuador and Colombia will participate in the International Sonora Festival, which will be held online in Bogota from December 8 to 12, according to the event's website.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the festival will celebrate its 4th edition online, and announces in its poster Ceci Juno (Ecuador) and the Colombians Lunale, Lorena Posada, Cande Sound and Diana Tovar, among other artists.

According to Posada, also organizer of the festival in Bogota, the website 'helps the dissemination and professionalization of music in Colombia. The magic of Sonora transcends music, its power is human transformation,' she noted.

During the event, there will also be workshops and talks, and on the 12th a big concert is planned.

The cultural encounter is part of an international network that began in Brazil in 2016 and is currently being held in over 50 countries.

Bogota Sonora is a festival that aims to make visible and promote the presence of women composers in the contemporary music scene.
