Invited by the Egrem Musical Recording and Prodution Enterprise, Salvadorian singer-songwriter Alvaro Torres is preparing four concerts in Cuba, where he will present his latest album.

According to local media, Torres's performances are scheduled for December 20 at the Hotel Melia Cohiba Cafe in the capital, and the next day (21) at the Varadero amphitheater, in the province of Matanzas.

The third concert will take place on December 22 at Cabaret Rumayor in the city of Pinar del Rio, and seven days later (29), he will end his tour in Cuba with a concert at Havana's Karl Marx Theater, the scene of major events in the country.

According to the organizers of the concert, this will be the venue where he will officially launch his new album entitled 'Alvaro Torres y sus buenos amigos' (Alvaro Torres and his Good Friends), which features prestigious Cuban artists.

Among the featured artists on this album, recorded in 2018, are: Omara Portuondo, Pancho Cespedes, Isaac Delgado, Leoni Torres, Laritza Bacallao, Waldo Mendoza, and Paulo FG.

Other guest artists are: Luna Manzanares, Juan Guillermo, Eliades Ochoa, Frank Fernandez, Haila, Buena Fe, the Entrevoces and Diminuto choirs, the string sections of the National Symphony Orchestra, and Septeto Santiaguero.

At a press conference, Torres expressed his enthusiasm on collaborating with so many Cuban stars.

The album, under the Egrem label, was produced by Emilio Vega, pianist Frank Fernandez and composer Orlando Vistel, and included hits such as 'Espacios Vacios' (Empty Spaces), 'Mi verdadero amor' (My True Love) and 'Todo se paga' (All is paid).

Egrem Director Mario Escalona expressed his satisfaction on carrying out this project because it is the first time that this Cuban label represents a foreign and internationally renowned artist.

Member of the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame, Alvaro Torres visited Cuba for the first time in 2011; he came back in 2018, and again in February 2019, when he visited neighborhoods affected by the tornado that hit the Cuban capital in January, 2019.
