The candidate for Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, said he would recommend President-Elect Donald Trump to veto any legislation seeking to lift the U.S. economic blockade on Cuba.

Tillerson stated yesterday that the issue of the resumption of diplomatic relations between Cuba and the United States is on the list of executive orders adopted by Barack Obama and Trump is preparing to review as soon as he takes power on January 20th, The Washington Post stressed.

He further assured that the New York billionaire would not immediately approve any bill to lift the ban on traveling to Cuba until such a review is made.

The proposed candidate to lead the new U.S. administration's foreign relations added that the criteria under which Cuba was removed from the list of countries that sponsor terrorism would be carefully examined to determine 'whether that elimination was appropriate.'

Tllerson, former chief executive officer of Exxon Mobile and about to become the new Secretary of State, did not promise to hold on his positionindefinitely, while postponing the next review to determine the long-term policy of Trump's administration toward Cuba.
