Wave of Terror Attacks Hit Turkey: Seven Dead and Hundreds Injured

An escalation of bomb attacks, which were carried out in southeastern Turkey and which have been attributed to the banned Kurdistan Workers'' Party (PKK), has killed seven and injured over 200, according to government sources.
A car bomb exploded next to a police station in the city of Elazig at 9:20 am (local time) when officers were arriving at work, Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim said.
Three policemen were killed and 217 others were injured, including 85 officers and about 60 civilians.
Four hours later, an explosion of a roadside bomb, allegedly planted by the PKK, killed three Turkish soldiers and a member of a local surveillance militia supported by the Government.
According to security sources, about seven military officers were injured in the attack that occurred Hizan district, in the province of Bitlis.
