The Speaker of the Zimbabwean Parliament, Jacob Mudenda, and the leader of the National Assembly of People's Power of Cuba, Esteban Lazo Hernández, today called for the enhancement of bilateral legislative relations.

On the final day of Lazo’s official visit to Zimbabwe, Mudenda conducted a tour of the Parliament's new headquarters, showcasing its various chambers.

The two leaders shared their insights into the work of their respective parliaments and discussed future initiatives to enhance legislative cooperation.

Mudenda reaffirmed the rejection of the embargo and the inclusion of Cuba in the list of countries allegedly supporting terrorism, while Lazo voiced his opposition to the unilateral coercive measures also imposed on Zimbabwe.

The Cuban parliamentary leader’s agenda included a visit to the monument dedicated to the Revolution's historical leader, Fidel Castro, which stands on the street bearing his name.

Similarly, Lazo and his delegation visited the African Liberation Museum and led a solidarity event to mark the 45th anniversary of bilateral relations.
