In an interview with Realmadrid TV, Zidane said “I’m happy, the truth is that these four months have been great in terms of work. The most important thing for us is to work hard and I think this team is on the right path.”

“I’m happy with what we’re doing, but at the same time I would like to say that we still have a long way to go. There are only a few games left but we have a long way to go because in every game we are playing for the season and we know that. We are concentrating on what we have to do,” Zizou added according to Real Madrid’s official website.

As for the upcoming La Liga clash against Real Sociedad at the Anoeta Stadium next Saturday in round 36 of the competition, the Frenchman considered it as “another final” in his team’s path to snatch the La Liga title from Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.

“From here until the end of the season we only have finals remaining. We will prepare well for it. We have not had much time to prepare, but we know that. We have to play every three days and it is both a difficult stadium and a difficult team to play against. They are a good team who will make it difficult for us but we are prepared,” the French coach explained.

He also highlighted the importance of the club’s supporters during the second leg of the Champions League semifinals against Manchester City next Wednesday at the Santiago Bernabeu, and stressed that his players know exactly what they have to do.

“We know what we have to do. We know that only winning is good enough. We drew in the first leg and in the return leg we need to score in order to win,” the coach said.

“I know that the fans have always been good to us, with all the players, and I think they will keep doing that, and even more so because we are one step away from the final and we’ll need the fans, as always. I have no doubt that it will be a great night for the players because the fans will help a lot,” he concluded.
