Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces minister visits Belarus

Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces (FAR) Minister Alvaro Lopez Miera is visiting Minsk, Belarusian Deputy Defense Minister for International Military Cooperation Valery Revenko informed on Tuesday.

Revenko told BelTA on Tuesday that Miera arrived in Minsk to take part in the celebrations on the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders by the Red Army.

The FAR minister heads Cuba’s delegation that will participate in the events and the military parade that will be held in Minsk on July 3, the Belarussian deputy minister pointed out.

More than 5,000 servicemen and more than 300 vehicles are expected to take part in the parade, as well as Russian aviation in the aerial part of the show.

In addition to the Belarusian military personnel, representatives of the armed forces of Azerbaijan, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will attend the parade.
