Cuban Silva ranked second in All-Star pole vaulting meeting in France

Cuban Yarisley Silva was the silver medalist in the women´s event of the 2020 All Star Perche indoor pole vaulting meeting that took place in Clermont-Ferrand, France.
Silva, Beijing 2015 world champion, jumped over 4.74 meters and was only surpassed by American Sandy Morris (4.80), while Slovenian Tina Sutej (4.74) earned the bronze medal.
This was Silva´s second competition in the World Athletics Indoor Tour 2020 as she previously finished third in the Pas-de-Calais Lievin Meeting with mark of 4.73m.
Meanwhile, the men´s event was won by Swedish Armand Duplantis with record of 6.01m, escorted by local Renaud Lavillenie (5.94) and American Sam Kendricks (5.87).
The Swede freak, who is only 20, has set world records of 6.17 and 6.18 the last two weeks and this time almost scores another new global mark when in his second attempt on 6.19 brought down the rod with his right hand when already had beaten the height.
