Twelve athletes from the Uruguayan delegation to the Pan American Games in Lima have competed before in the Olympics from Barcelona 1992 to Rio de Janeiro 2016.

The most emblematic case is that of Ricardo Fabini, who with his 52 years of age, will fight in Pacific waters in the snipe class of sails, as he did in Atlanta 1996, Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008.

Also Leandro Salvagno, who defended rowing in Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008, after a few years of absence will put on the blue shirt and participate in the Lima stop.

For his part, Rudi Lausarot will defend Uruguay again, as in London 2012 in the air rifle category.

Two other representatives who participated in two Olympic Games before are Inés Remersaro (swimming) and Déborah Rodríguez (athletics), are both in the race to reach their third presence at the top sport event in Tokyo 2020.

The rest of the 12 experienced athletes have backgrounds in the previous Olympic event, in Rio de Janeiro 2016, where Emiliano Lasa stood out, won the diploma in the long jump test, after finishing in the sixth position.
