Two young prospects from Pinar del Rio team are hired in the Japanese Baseball League: Raidel Martinez and Livan Moinelo.

As rookers both must demonstrate their best qualities in the Farm Leagues, Development Squad, what  in Cuba would be considered the Development League. Later they can be promoted to the Regular Season of their main professional team.

The right-handed of San Juan y Martinez, Raidel Martinez, on April 13 joined the Chunichi Dragons Club of the Central League, along with the outfielder of Isla de la Juventud Leonardo Urgellés.

His performance until June 1 had not been very encouraging: he had thrown eight innings in two games, with a game lost. He had faced 37 hitters and had permitted six hits, including two home runs, plus six walks, two strikeouts and five earned runs, for an average of 5.63.

Meanwhile, the left-handed from Rio Feo, Liván Moinelo, on May 23 he joined officially Softbank Hawks, of the Pacific League, along with outfielder from Santiago de Cuba Oscar Colás, there is also Alfredo Despaigne, but in the big team.

Although there are no data of this Pinar del Río son in the Digital Site of the said League, in email communication with him he said, "I was up for triple A, I have thrown four innings and struck five, they hit me a home run, another detail I have thrown 94 miles" .

This editor has no doubts that both Pinar pitchers will adapt to that type of baseball because they have quality for that.
