Portal CubaSí: 23 years backing Cuba

When things are made with the heart, celebrations are carried out beyond closed anniversaries. That is why CubaSí is today celebrating its 23rd anniversary with the satisfaction of having been consistent with our news portal name.

We defend truth and justice in each report, information, interview, chronicle, video, infographics, photo…We are attached to the needs of Cubans and their reality, to every single heart beat defending the best of human beings around the world.

Today’s reality is quite different to that July 16th, 23 years ago. That is why we do our best to keep pace with present day’s reality in social networks, which poses great challenges.

So this news portal, under the guidance of ETECSA, was one of the first in Cuba to introduce the multimedia work and other wonderful aspects of the digital world, and aims to target all kinds of public by addressing a wide range of subjects that include national and international subjects in both English and Spanish languages.

It is a small working staff, just over a dozen workers, who, from their different roles, also contribute to another of the singularities of this portal: constant updating and immediacy.

We work 24 hours a day, journalists and editors cover the news until very late at night searching for relevant events, alert to fake news in this media war that is waged against us.

Today, 23 years after that beginning, CubaSí continues to work hard in cyberspace with the same goal of the beginning: we continue to backing Cuba, which is to say for the good of Cubans and all those in the world who love and create.
