As of today, Cuba boasts digital vaccination certificate

As of today, the digital vaccination certificate against COVID-19 and the CuVac19 application for its verification and validation are available free of charge (on the MINSAP website).

This document does not replace the official vaccination card.

Karel Barthelemy Aguilar, head of Informatics and Communications of Cuba’s Ministry of Public Health, said that this will be one more option with some special features: "digital, verifiable, and safe."

The certificates that will be issued in the system have a QR code, with personal identification and vaccination data, and comply with the standards adopted by the European Union and with the recommendations issued by the World Health Organization.

The executive specified that, so far, this service responds to the Cuban vaccination program, as an expression of Cuba’s immunization strategy; however, any foreigner who gets vaccinated in Cuba will be able to get their digital certificate as well.
