The richness of diversity and the effect of climate change are the contents of the Spanish Film Festival, which, until June 9, invites you to enjoy a premiere filmography in this capital.

Short-length and fiction films, documentaries, fiction works, series, comedies, dramas, biopics, film noir, and fantasy movies will be screened at 23 y 12 and Acapulco movie theaters.

Maria Vargas, adviser at the Spanish Embassy in Cuba, said recently that the exhibition discovers Iberian cinema through films that have won awards at several international festivals and proposes an approach to prominent filmmakers, actors, and guest screenwriters.

According to the event’s program, the Festival House will present the Pla Festival on Tuesday, in charge of its director Joan Lopez, and four short-length films will be shown.

The Pla Festival celebrated its first edition a month ago and is dedicated to claiming, disseminating, and celebrating the cinema that holds talks with the rural environment.

The Cuban Art Factory (FAC) will screen the films “La Ruta” (The Route-2022) on June 6 and “Las Noches de Tefia” (Nights in Tefia-2023) on June 7 in the presence of their protagonists Patrick Criado, Javier Ruesga, and Jorge Perugorria.
